Overview
Illumen Capital is a fund of funds that works to expand equity for women and people of color across investing. By helping fund managers in their portfolio install bias-reduction strategies and tools, Illumen helps them identify, evaluate, and invest in entrepreneurs marginalized by race and gender. This grant will support Illumen’s efforts to develop and implement these strategies and tools. Its work is designed to help funds in its portfolio expand their investable landscape and better include Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and female entrepreneurs, ultimately driving capital to founders who have been overlooked and underestimated. As it executes its strategy and evaluate the efficacy of its program, Illumen looks forward to sharing best practices and insights with the broader investment community.
