ID Insight generates and helps policymakers use evidence to inform decision making. With this grant, ID Insight will support Ghana’s Ministry of Education and Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation in generating and using evidence to inform the government’s free Senior High School program. The goal is to improve student learning and graduation outcomes, and to demonstrate that this kind of evaluation partnership can improve high-profile government programs.

Grants to this Grantee
for fostering diversity and recruiting staff that reflect the geographies where IDinsight is present
for general operating support
IDinsight designs, deploys, and promotes evidence-generating tools designed to help organizations to combat poverty worldwide. The organization’s guiding principle is to inform decision makers' priorities, maximizing rigor with decision makers' budgetary, time, and operational constraints. IDinsight's goals include building long partnerships that help governments improve specific policies and programs while simultaneously building their capacity to use evidence; expanding its data innovation work (including survey infrastructure that allows for data collection faster and at 10-50 percent of the cost of traditional surveys); and sharing its tools and learnings with others.
for propelling IDinsight’s strategy in East and West Africa
IDinsight generates and helps policymakers use evidence to inform decision making. This grant will help IDinsight broaden and deepen its work in East and West Africa on three domains. First, IDinsight will extend its partnership with Ghana’s Ministry of Education and Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation in incorporating remedial education into the government’s Free Senior High School program. Second, IDinsight will identify African organizations in Kenya, Ghana, and Senegal that can serve as efficient entry points for further government engagement. Third, IDinsight will respond to opportunities with East and West African governments that align with its strategy.
