Overview
IDinsight seeks to maximize the use of rigorous analysis in support of policymakers’ decision making within their budgetary, time, and operational constraints. With this grant, IDinsight will build its team and operational infrastructure, develop new data and evidence services, share its approach and learnings with relevant development actors, and create teams focused on scale-up.

IDinsight designs, deploys, and promotes evidence-generating tools designed to help organizations combat poverty worldwide. The organization’s guiding principle is to inform decision makers' priorities, thus maximizing rigor within decision makers' budgetary, time, and operational constraints. The grantee’s goals are to (a) increase the impact of its direct support to decision makers, including by deepening and lengthening relationships; (b) raise expectations and lower barriers so that evidence is used for policymaking and implementation, including by lowering data collection costs; and (c) further enhance the organization's ability to attract and retain top talent. IDinsight’s medium-term goals include (a) building long partnerships that help governments improve specific policies and programs while simultaneously building their capacity to use evidence; (b) expanding its data innovation work (including survey infrastructure that allows for quick, cheap data collection); and (c) sharing its tools and learning with others.
