Grants to this Grantee
for advancing the use of data and evidence in public policymaking in West and East Africa
IDinsight is a global nonprofit organization with entities in Africa and Asia. It uses data and evidence to help leaders combat poverty worldwide through specialized advisory services and deploys a large analytical toolkit to help its project partners design better policies, rigorously test what works programmatically, and implement policies and programs effectively at scale. IDinsight places special emphasis on using the right tools for the right questions, and tailors its methods for the real-world constraints facing its decision-making partners. This grant renews support to IDinsight's work in West and East Africa. Over the next three years, IDinsight aims to (a) further develop and strengthen partnerships with governments across East and West Africa to promote the use of data and evidence in policymaking; (b) continue to lower barriers to evidence use in policymaking in the region by continuing to leverage data science, engineering, and monitoring expertise; (c) improve its approach to working with governments aiming for maximum effectiveness, scalability, and sustainability; and (d) strengthen its growing leadership team.

for support of SRHR data for decision making in Togo
This grant to IDinsight will support a learning partnership with the Ministry of Health of Togo to improve its collection, management, and utilization of quality data for decisions related to family planning and other sexual and reproductive health (SRHR) programs. IDinsight will provide technical assistance to the Department of Maternal and Child Health, which oversees family planning, to develop the skills, tools, and systems needed to improve its data use, a request made by the Ministry of Health. This grant is aligned with our Global Reproductive Equity strategy and also the strategy of the Ouagadougou Partnership, to invest more in those countries within the region who struggle to meet their own family planning goals, which is consistently the case with Togo.
