Horizons is a community foundation devoted to increasing the visibility of and addressing issues of importance to LGBTQ people. The organization’s Community Issues grants program supports many types of nonprofits and fiscally sponsored programs given the many needs of the LGBTQ community across the nine Bay Area counties it serves. Each year, Horizons awards approximately 30 grants through the program, of which typically 20%-30% are for LGBTQ art and culture projects with annual budgets of $1 million or less.
