Overview
The Hip Hop Caucus is a national organization that works with musicians and other cultural influencers to build popular support for climate action. Support from the Hewlett Foundation will go toward Hip Hop Caucus’ Think 100%, a content platform for multicultural millennials and Generation Z who care about justice and our planet. The platform includes podcasts and radio, films and digital video, music, and op-eds. This creative content supports, expands, and accelerates the power of the climate movement because it is always connected to strategies of activism and mobilization. The Hip Hop Caucus deploys storytelling, relational organizing, digital communications, and issue advocacy strategies to advance its climate justice, democracy, human rights, and economic justice goals. Support from the Hewlett Foundation will allow Hip Hop Caucus to launch the second season of its Think 100% radio show and podcast, focused on the voices, perspectives, interests, and leadership of young people, particularly young people of color.

The Hip Hop Caucus is a national organization that works with musicians and other cultural influencers to build popular support for climate action. Support from the Hewlett Foundation will allow Hip Hop Caucus to turn its weekly Think 100%: Coolest Show on Climate Change radio show and podcast into a broader media platform, including a YouTube channel and live road shows. Think 100% is a live interview show taped in Washington, D.C., and includes guests who are policymakers and advocates, as well as artists.
