Overview
High Tech High Graduate School of Education creates an adult learning community that links teacher education to school reform, offering a master’s of education degree, teacher credentialing, and an education leadership academy. The school will develop and pilot an approach that allows educators to conduct research on how to improve deeper learning instructional practice using the tenets of improvement science. This approach to continuous improvement deploys rapid change cycles to guide development and revision of new tools and processes which have the potential to scale. These activities will contribute to the development and growth of a distinct field of practitioners and leaders committed to deeper learning outcomes, a key element in field building.

High Tech High will create a deeper learning practitioner hub to serve as a clearinghouse for practitioner-related resources, support activities that bring deeper learning to scale, host a national conference for practitioners, and promote integration of student assessment results into classroom practice. This grant will help develop and grow a distinct community of practitioners and leaders committed to deeper learning outcomes.
