Overview
We recommend this supplemental grant for the production of a report on the green economy's impact in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming, and associate outreach around the report. The supplemental grant is needed since there is a need for more data than was anticipated, in order report on a wider array of indicators and on a greater number of states; and to provide for more robust communications support to ensure the findings reach key decision-makers. The decision to have a more ambitious report was made due to the impact of the recession, the growing momentum in renewable energy production and associated surge in interest in quantifying the green economy. Credible, up-to-date information is critical. Headwaters will work in collaboration with Fenton Communications on this project, given Fenton's depth of knowledge on smart green economy messaging. (Supplemental, $45,000/1; 4% of organizational budget)
