Headwaters Economics provides the public and policymakers with credible economic analysis of natural resource issues. This renewal grant would support Headwaters' work to produce and distribute analytic tools to grantees and the public demonstrating the value of protected public lands and national monuments; provide rapid response information to grantees seeking to reform public lands policy, particularly in the area of fossil energy; and provide interactive web-based tools for understanding how federal payments to counties could be reformed to create incentives for public land conservation.
