Headlands Center for the Arts is a multi-disciplinary, international arts center dedicated to supporting artists, the creative process, and the development of innovative ideas and artwork. Each year the organization provides more than 85 artists with residencies, subsidized studio space, public presentation opportunities, and other forms of professional support to assist their artistic development. Its eclectic public programs, which include art installations, open houses, Sunday dinners with artists, and thematic residency activities, engage more than 13,000 people annually at its historic campus in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in partnership with the National Park Service.
