Grants to this Grantee
for general operating support
GreatNonprofits provides a public platform for beneficiaries, volunteers, and other stakeholders to share their opinions about nonprofits—they have referred to themselves as "Zagat for Nonprofits." So far, GreatNonprofits has collected approximately 80,000 reviews. By themselves, individual reviews are not a valid way of judging nonprofit impact, but in aggregate the reviews can be an important part of a multi-dimensional look at nonprofit performance, and provide a potentially-powerful accountability mechanism. GreatNonprofits has been a leader in linking together many giving websites and has fully integrated with both GuideStar and Charity Navigator.
