Overview
GreatNonprofits gives beneficiaries, volunteers, and other stakeholders a public platform to share their opinions about nonprofits. GreatNonprofits describes itself as the Yelp for the nonprofit sector. By themselves, individual reviews are not a valid way to judge nonprofits’ impact. However, taken with other sources of data, they can provide an important perspective on performance and a potentially powerful mechanism for accountability and organizational improvement.

By themselves, individual reviews are not a valid way of judging nonprofit impact, but in aggregate the reviews can be an important part of a multi-dimensional look at nonprofit performance, and provide a potentially-powerful accountability mechanism. GreatNonprofits has been a leader in linking together many giving websites and has fully integrated with both GuideStar and Charity Navigator.
