Grants to this Grantee
for the videoconferencing project
A videoconferencing grant to Global Integrity will support the purchase and installation of videoconferencing systems for the OpenGov Hub based in Washington, DC. The OpenGov Hub is the location of Global Integrity’s main office and is shared with other transparency and open government NGOs. Videoconferencing equipment will facilitate communication with the organization’s recently opened Global Integrity office in Cape Town, South Africa and will also be a shared resource available to other organizations at the OpenGov Hub, including Hewlett grantee the Kiwanja Foundation as well as Development Gateway, which receives Hewlett support via a grant to the College of William and Mary for the AidData project.
for supporting Mexican Transparency and Accountability NGOs to use the Indaba Platform
Global Integrity is a Washington, DC-based organization that promotes transparent and accountable government around the world. It produces innovative research and technologies that inform, connect, and empower civic, private, and public advocates in work to promote more open societies. This grant will support the translation into Spanish of the organization's data-collecting platform Indaba, and to expand its use among Mexican transparency and accountability groups. This project draws on Global Integrity’s experience piloting Indaba with early adopters, including a fruitful partnership with the Mexican Institute of Competitiveness. We expect this grant will facilitate an increasing number of organizations in the accountability field in Mexico to become familiar with Indaba and to work systematically with it to streamline, enhance, and scale their research processes.
