GLIDE is a social service provider, justice movement, and spiritual community dedicated to strengthening communities and transforming lives. GLIDE addresses the needs of, and advocates for, the most vulnerable people in San Francisco’s culturally vibrant and diverse Tenderloin District. Founded by social justice activists Janice Mirikitani and the Rev. Cecil Williams, Glide’s programs include artistic and cultural programs, health and addiction recovery, vocational training, religious services, and a free meal program that serves thousands of hot meals each week.
