Overview
Future Economy Scotland is a think tank focused on decarbonizing, democratizing, and decommodifying Scotland’s economy. The organization is committed to tackling oppression in all forms, and holds organizational values centered on solidarity, generosity, and respect. This two-year launch project focuses on accelerating a just transition in Scotland to decarbonize the economy, create good green jobs, and reduce inequalities — engaging extensively with climate organizations, trade unions and poverty alleviation groups. In doing so, the project will create and share a pioneering test case for building an alternative to neoliberalism, generating lessons for other countries to learn from.
