Overview
Funders for LGBTQ Issues works to increase the scale and impact of philanthropic resources aimed at enhancing the well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities, promoting equity, and advancing racial, economic and gender justice. The main ways they do this are: (1) research on LGBTQ funding trends, gaps and opportunities; (2) outreach and support services for both funders that already support LGBTQ issues and allies that don’t (yet), and (3) convening grantmakers to learn together and coordinate efforts. Funders for LGTBQ Issues aligns closely with the criteria and goals of our Knowledge for Better Philanthropy strategy, and thus we are providing this grant in the form of general operating support.
