Grants to this Grantee
for general operating support
Fundar is a leading Mexican think tank that advocates for and monitors the implementation of public policies to reduce poverty and enhance civil rights. In a context of deepening political polarization, Fundar works with diverse coalitions to advance concrete governance reforms such as closing tax loopholes and increasing the regulation of political advertising. Fundar is uniquely positioned to work in partnership with rural, grassroots activists while influencing the priorities of Mexico City’s political elite. Fundar researches the implications of a likely post-electoral fiscal reform, continues its policy monitoring, and facilitates peer learning about civil rights and civic space in Mexico and Central America.
