Overview
Fresno Metro Ministry is a multifaith, multicultural advocacy organization, with an Environmental Health Program that for at least ten years has served as an important anchor for several clean air and clean energy coalitions in California’s Central Valley. The Health Program will protect San Joaquin Valley residents’ health by reducing global warming and other air pollutants. The organization will intervene in local land use planning decision-making processes and advocate for policies that reduce global warming and other pollution from goods movement and diesel sources.

for support of the Environmental Health Program  
Fresno Metro Ministry’s Environmental Health Program seeks to reduce smog-forming and global warming pollution from land use, transportation, and agricultural sources in California’s San Joaquin Valley. An important anchor group in several coalitions, the Ministry provides leadership and strategic thinking to a wide network of groups, and in 2013, will continue its capacity-building and leadership development work and engagement on policies ranging from local land-use planning in Fresno to state-level policies on the use of global warming funds.

Fresno Metro Ministry’s Environmental Health Program seeks to reduce smog-forming and global-warming pollution from land use, transportation, and agricultural sources in California’s San Joaquin Valley. In 2014, it will launch a new program to broaden the effective land use and transportation planning work it has done for many years. This will include recruiting a diverse array of influential advocates for more ambitious emission reduction goals for Fresno County’s Sustainable Community Strategy and Regional Transportation Plan.
