Its programs include an annual arts festival of transgender and queer performance, and a resident dance company performing the artistic director’s choreography. In addition, Fresh Meat produces free local performing arts events in partnership with other organizations reaching people who cross or mix gender roles and identities. The organization reaches 17,000 people each year, and it plans to increase touring engagements, grow its board, establish a cash reserve, and develop its administrative capacity to respond to the growing demand for its services.
