Overview
Although one in three women in the United States will have an abortion during her lifetime, there is stigma and secrecy around abortion. To change the culture around abortion, which may have a long-term effect on political support, Exhale creates opportunities for women who have had abortions to share their stories and be heard. This unrestricted grant would support activities including a post-abortion talk line, publishing a book and documentary film about Exhale’s "pro-voice" approach, and media outreach with real personal stories about abortion experiences.
