This is a general operating support grant to EVHybridNoire, a network of electric vehicle owners and enthusiasts that aims to raise awareness of electric vehicles among Black, Indigenous, and Latinx communities across the United States, and mobilize their political power in support of EV-friendly policies at the state and federal level. EVHybridNoire is the largest nationwide network of diverse EV drivers and enthusiasts. The network engages with Black, Latinx, and Indigenous communities, as well as rural communities, elderly populations, young professionals, women, and those who live in multi-family complexes — all of whom face unique barriers to accessing and benefiting from EVs and other e-mobility solutions. Its work spans many aspects of e-mobility and equity, including climate justice, workforce development, public health, multimodal mobility ,and creative financing of e-mobility solutions.
