Etica Ambiental, AC is a nonprofit whose mission is to promote and develop socio-environmental initiatives and interventions to defend, preserve and restore natural resources for the benefit of society, in an ethical and professional manner. We recommend a grant to Etica Ambiental to develop a citizen air quality standard for the Mexico City Metropolitan area based on the standards established by the World Health Organization and to create a Citizen Oversight Committee to verify and enforce the application of these standards. Compliance will reduce risk to human health and raise awareness about the risks and public health impacts from transportation air pollution among civil society.
