Overview
This grant to the Essex County Community Foundation will support the work of the nonpartisan Coalition for Open Democracy to inform, engage, and mobilize the citizens of New Hampshire around the issue of money in politics. Utilizing New Hampshire’s First-in-the-Nation Presidential Primary, Open Democracy will conduct high-profile public walks and public outreach efforts–including enabling volunteer activists to "bird-dog" candidates–through its New Hampshire Rebellion campaign to elevate money in politics as a leading bipartisan issue in the 2016 presidential election and inject the question, "How are you going to end the system of corruption in Washington?" into the national debate.
