Grants to this Grantee
for support of Education Trust–West
The Education Trust–West engages educators, students, parents, and community members to work toward an educational landscape in which California students — particularly students of color, low-income students, and English language learners — can attain high academic achievement. The group expands excellence and equity in education, increases college access and completion, involves diverse communities dedicated to educational equity, and grows public will to act on equity issues. (Substrategy: Student and Community Voice)
for support of efforts to build awareness and support of resource equity
The Education Trust, a national nonprofit that promotes high achievement for all students, will partner with Education Resource Strategies to build public will and capacity around educational resource equity through their joint initiative, the Alliance for Resource Equity. This grant will enable the Alliance to deepen its efforts by engaging more communities, analyzing existing resource allocation, educating coalitions and groups about their findings, and responding to direct requests for assistance. When communities and individuals are engaged and empowered around issues of resource equity, they are better positioned to advocate for policy changes that reflect their interests and priorities.
