Education Leaders of Color

The mission of Education Leaders of Color is to catalyze cross-sector collaboration through a network of values-aligned leaders of color to help drive policy change. This grant supports two initiatives: The Social Studies Accelerator System Leader Learning Lab, a professional learning experience for school system leaders to address barriers to adopting high-quality, culturally responsive social studies materials; and The Campaign for Our Shared Future, a common-ground effort fighting for the right of every child to an inclusive and high-quality education. This work advances the Education Program’s goal of ensuring that schools are responsive and relevant to the lives of students by including diverse voices in classrooms. Education Leaders of Color is a member organization that ensures young people of color have the support they need to thrive, capitalize on opportunities, and build generational wealth. This grant supports the group’s Social Studies Accelerator, work that is focused on the implementation of quality, culturally responsive social studies.
