Grants to this Grantee
for a strategic planning process for fielding an annual survey of America’s teachers
Editorial Projects in Education is a national media organization known for its in-depth coverage of and expertise about the U.S. education system. The organization is ideally positioned to field an annual survey of teachers that would reveal the state of teaching in the country and provide a sense of upcoming challenges in the field. This grant will provide funds for Editorial Projects in Education to assess the feasibility of fielding and funding this survey for several years to come. (Strategy: K-12 Teaching and Learning)
for general operating support
Editorial Projects in Education and its flagship publication, Education Week, are an indispensable source for news, information, analysis, and services essential to drive critical changes in K-12 policy and practice, and to expand the audience and market for independent news and information. This grant is for general operating support. (Strategy: K-12 Teaching and Learning)
for expanded education coverage in text, webinars, and other social media
Through Editorial Projects in Education’s print and online publication, Education Week continues to be at the forefront of producing education news and stories. This grant renewal request is a proposal to produce sixteen pages of deeper learning–related items per year over the next two years. To reach a larger audience, Education Week will also employ its other distribution channels: live and virtual events, social media, and collaborative agreements with its growing network of content partners, including Associated Press, McClatchy-Tribune Information Services, and Learning Matters.
