EarthRights International defends human rights and promotes environmental justice through litigation and legal advocacy, training and leadership development, and policy advocacy and education campaigns. In addition to the grassroots legal defense and empowerment work with individuals and resource-rich communities, EarthRights also pioneers international norms and standards that promote corporate and governmental responsibility for transparent and accountable natural resource extraction. EarthRights deepens the legal empowerment of resource-rich communities and individual environmental activists to enable them to protect and defend their rights and environments and promote responsible and accountable natural resource extraction in the Amazon and Mekong regions.
