A fiscally sponsored project of Dancers’ Group, Sins Invalid develops and performs works exploring disability and sexuality for audiences in the Bay Area and nationally. Its offerings reframe and celebrate the experiences of artists with disabilities, artists of color, and gender-variant artists, encouraging audiences to widen their perspectives and fostering self-acceptance and empowerment for LGBTQ disabled people. Each year Sins Invalid reaches 1,500 people through a range of artistic programs and educational workshops. First time support for Sins Invalid will support the continued creation of work that reflects the experiences and concerns of its core audience; foster the development of a leadership development program; and aid in the hiring of a program manager that will increase organizational capacity.

Through its CA$H Dance grant program, Dancers’ Group provides grants of up to $5,000 that support the creative activities of those making work in the Bay Area.
