Overview
In 2018, Maine became the first U.S. state to use ranked choice voting in statewide and congressional elections. Local and state elections officials were on the front line in implementing this change in electoral processes. This research project seeks to understand local election officials’ perceptions about the implementation of ranked choice voting in Maine. It will contribute to knowledge about election administration and ranked choice voting.
