Crosspulse

Crosspulse has grown out of the artistic vision of percussionist, rhythm dancer, and educator Keith Terry, dedicated to the creation, performance, and recording of rhythm-based, intercultural music and dance. Since 1980, this vision has been expressed through Terry’s work as a solo performer, touring nationally and internationally, and through his collaborations with a number of artists across many disciplines. The organization explores the role that rhythm plays in performing arts throughout the world and how rhythm can connect people and cultures in unexpected ways. Reaching 30,000 people annually, programs include public performances, educational programs in schools, and the six-day International Body Music Festival, which connects local, regional, and international artists to a wide array of Bay Area communities.
