For The Inclusion Of Women's Economic Empowerment In The U.S. Foreign Policy Agenda

Overview
This grant to the Council on Foreign Relations seeks to elevate women’s economic empowerment and financial inclusion on the U.S. foreign policy agenda, as well as in the work of top international and financial institutions. The council will publish a report on the importance of including women’s work in measures of economic productivity, addressing gender constraints and barriers in macroeconomic policy, and supporting strategies to promote women’s financial inclusion and links to growth. This grant will lead to widely distributed policy recommendations to promote the inclusion of gender analysis in future economic policy development, accompanied by a solid communications and advocacy strategy to promote its uptake.

A longtime grantee, CFR convenes meetings where senior government officials, members of Congress, and global leaders join its members to discuss and debate major international issues.
