The Council on Foreign Relations is an independent, nonpartisan membership organization, think tank, and publisher. It provides its members, government officials, business executives, journalists, educators, students, and others the resources they need to better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other countries. A longtime Hewlett Foundation grantee, the Council convenes senior government officials, members of Congress, and global leaders with its members to discuss and debate major international issues. The Council also publishes Foreign Affairs, the preeminent journal of international affairs and U.S. foreign policy. A renewal grant would help the organization to continue its important work.
