Overview
This independent, nonpartisan think tank and membership organization gives its members, government officials, journalists, and other interested citizens the resources they need to better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other countries. A long-time grantee, the Council on Foreign Relations convenes meetings at which senior government officials, members of Congress, and global leaders join its members to discuss and debate major international issues. It also supports a Studies Program that fosters independent research; sponsors independent task forces that produce policy recommendations; and publishes Foreign Affairs, the preeminent journal of international affairs and U.S. foreign policy.
