Overview
CORE Economics Education is a registered charity based in England and Wales. The CORE (Curriculum Open-access Resources in Economics) initiative is an effort that began in 2013 with a meeting of a dozen research economists from around the world. The question they were exploring was how to create a new way of teaching economics that addresses major contemporary challenges. This led to finding new means of offering economics online for free and going to the "core" of the discipline as it is taught in undergraduate programs across the world. During the grant term, CORE will continue its mission of offering free economics training online and expand into the U.S. market.
