Grants to this Grantee
for a planning grant to test the feasibility of an online consultant review platform
Finding and engaging qualified consultants is a perennial challenge for many nonprofit organizations, including the Foundation’s own grantees, who often need outside assistance to strengthen their organizational effectiveness. This planning grant would support feasibility testing of an online platform that would enable nonprofit leaders to share and benefit from their peers’ firsthand reviews of consultants. The research will include a large-scale, national survey of nonprofit leaders to determine how they are currently locating consultants and what barriers they anticipate in using an online method to find and review consultants.
for the Diverse Emerging Environmental Leaders Initiative
CompassPoint will manage an eight-year leadership development initiative to amplify the power and perspectives of diverse leaders in California’s environmental movement. The initiative is supported by the Hewlett and Packard foundations. The program will focus on individual leader cohorts, as well as organizational and movement-wide cohorts.
