Overview
College to Congress helps build a highly diverse pipeline of interns and future Congressional staff by providing Pell-grant eligible students with fully supported internships. C2C responded quickly to the challenges of the pandemic, using it to strengthen and scale its impact virtually. With this OE grant to upgrade its technology infrastructure, C2C aims to train 1,000 students by the end of the year, and even more in 2021. C2C will upgrade it LMS, reporting capabilities, website, and artificial intelligence (AI) used to pair students with mentors and internship opportunities. It also will ensure the digital platforms are fully integrated to improve monitoring and reporting on the progress of C2C-U alumni as they complete the program, progress in their internships and careers, and fulfill the C2C mission of diversifying Congress.

for general operating support
College to Congress (C2C) is a nonpartisan nonprofit that is creating a more inclusive and effective Congress by empowering the next generation of public servants. The group provides pathways for college students from rural, low-income, and disadvantaged communities to intern and subsequently work in Congress who otherwise could not afford to. C2C’s unique, all-encompassing program provides selected college students with the training, mentorship, and financial support needed to intern in Congress and launch their careers in public service. C2C believes that with a seat at the policymaking table, these young leaders can help create a democracy that is truly reflective of the American people on both sides of the aisle.
