Overview
Founded in 2010, Code for America offers technical talent and expertise to city governments through its fellowship programs. In coordination with city leaders, innovative designers and developers use technology to provide more efficient, effective solutions to problems within government functions. Ideas, applications, and lessons learned are then shared with other cities. With support from the Hewlett Foundation, Code for America would continue its current operations and support the fast pace of growth and demand for its services.
