With these resources, the coalition will develop narrative strategies and communications infrastructure within their own organizations; co-create frontline-led and audience-centered digital content; and collaborate with project partners to strengthen the field of climate communications. Grants to this Grantee
for the Communicating Our Power fellowship program
Frontline communities are among the first to experience climate change, and — due to chronic underinvestment — often experience the worst consequences of an increasingly unstable climate. Leaders in frontline communities are fighting to protect the health of their communities and also build thriving, regenerative economies that rectify historic inequities. The stories of these communities are severely underrepresented in climate media coverage. Communicating Our Power is a fellowship program designed to rectify this at a critical moment in history, as billions of dollars begin to flow through the implementation of federal climate investment laws to help communities that are disproportionately impacted by climate change benefit from the buildout of new energy systems.
