Grants to this Grantee
for work in Asia
ClientEarth is an international environmental organization using the law to protect the earth and its inhabitants. This grant will support ClientEarth’s rapidly growing program of work in Asia, which aims to strengthen the environmental rule of law to address global challenges, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and air pollution, and to protect and enhance natural ecosystems in the region. (Substrategy: China National Policy)
for the China Program’s E.U.-China climate engagement and climate-related policy and law enforcement
This grant supports ClientEarth to advance E.U.-China cooperation on environment protection and climate change. With these funds, ClientEarth’s China team will work to strengthen accountability mechanisms in China to ensure environmental legislation, policies, and governance are fit for safeguarding the progress of China’s low-carbon transition. It will also provide legal support for China’s climate transition, nature conservation, and restoration; develop capacity for environmental judges and prosecutors; and support environmental public supervision through E.U.-China policy and best-practices alignment.
