Chinese Cultural Productions

Chinese Cultural Productions, a dance ensemble created by choreographer Lily Cai and composer Gang Situ, creates risk-taking contemporary art that is firmly rooted in Chinese cultural traditions, and reflects the East-meets-West aspect of Chinese American life in San Francisco. The organization reaches more than 8,000 people annually through a home season and national tours. It also provides educational programming at its dance academy, and offers instruction and demonstrations of Chinese music and culture in public schools with high populations of Chinese American students, reaching 2,300 San Francisco youth each year.
