Overview
Children’s Musical Theater of San Jose (CMTSJ, aka San Jose Children's Musical Theater) is one of the nation’s largest theatrical performing and training organizations for youth. The organization also reaches more than 8,000 schoolchildren each year with its Student Matinee Program, performances, workshops and master classes, and intensive summer sessions. This grant will support CMTSJ in streamlining and integrating technology processes across development, ticketing, and marketing platforms to free up staff time for programming and outreach and to prepare the organization for its upcoming 50th anniversary.

Children’s Musical Theater San Jose is one of the nation’s largest theatrical performing and training organizations for youth. Each year, the organization mounts 10 productions with performers aged four to 20, reaching more than 40,000 audience members. Every child who auditions is cast, resulting in 1,000 young performers taking the stage. The organization also reaches more than 7,000 children each year with its Student Audience Matinee Program, workshops and master classes, and intensive summer sessions. Support for Children’s Musical Theater San Jose aligns with the Performing Arts Program’s former Arts Education strategy, through the Program Delivery substrategy.
