Overview
Incorporated in 2013 as a Hong Kong-based charity, the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS) is an independent and uniquely Asian organization working to increase transparency; improve governance; and aid the efficacy of philanthropists, governments, and social delivery organizations to address societal challenges across the region. A grant to CAPS will support the Delta Philanthropy project, which will identify five families each in China, Indonesia, and India who employ Delta Philanthropy — i.e., their personal and family philanthropy runs alongside their corporate social responsibility (CSR) either in terms of operations or strategy or both. The results will be published as a report and used to explain different motivations and factors influencing philanthropic decision making within the Asian context.
