Grants to this Grantee
for the program activities and institutional growth of the Center for Global Development in Europe
The Center for Global Development (CGD) is an independent, nonpartisan, non-profit "think-and-do tank" that works to reduce global poverty and inequality through research and active engagement with the development policy community. Flexible support to CGD’s Europe operations would help the Center expand its global influence to a broader range of decision makers, including key institutions in Europe whose trade, fiscal, and other policies impact the lives of the poor in developing countries.
for general operating support
The Center for Global Development is an independent "think and do tank" that works to reduce global poverty and inequality. The Center melds rigorous research with strategic communications and engagement with the policy community aimed at influencing policy change in areas such as foreign aid, trade, debt, migration, climate change, global health, and education. During this grant period, the Center expects to place particular attention on informing and shaping the evolving global development agenda, including the next round of global development goals to be agreed upon by the international community in 2015; and encouraging innovations in development finance instruments.
