Overview
Create CA is a statewide initiative to restore arts education to California’s schools. Create CA began with a Hewlett Foundation funded strategic planning process, and is now led by a coalition of five organizations (three of which are Hewlett Foundation grantees) and fiscally sponsored by the California Alliance for Arts Education. The coalition has developed a strong leadership group from across the education and arts education sectors in California, and will build support for recommendations in the State Superintendent of Public Instruction’s Blueprint for Creative Schools. Project funding will help Create CA leverage data from the Arts Education Data Project for a compelling statewide public will communications campaign in support of arts education.
