California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) is a public university located in San Luis Obispo, California. It is one of two polytechnics in the California State University system that approach education through a “Learn by Doing” philosophy. Cal Poly’s California Cybersecurity Institute (CCI) is a robust, multiagency effort to protect California through enhanced cybercrime forensics and statewide tactical response training. The institute also houses a California Army National Guard Cyber Protection Team. This grant will support the CCI, aligning with the Cyber Initiative’s overall strategy to cultivate a field that develops thoughtful, multidisciplinary solutions to complex cyber challenges and catalyzes better policy outcomes for the benefit of societies around the world.
