Overview
Breakthrough Technologies Institute (BTI) was established in 1993 to ensure that emerging technologies impact environmental and energy policy debates. BTI will provide strategic guidance, oversight and technical assistance to the "Vision Los Angeles" project - a plan to improve the environment and mobility in the Los Angeles region by engaging diverse stakeholders. BTI has now served on the Vision Los Angeles Advisory Board for almost a year, providing valued guidance on project options, stakeholder outreach and communications. Lead BTI expert Bill Vincent will lead this work. BTI has been a valued consultant to the Hewlett Foundation on many sustainable transport projects. (Renewal, $82,000/1; 100% of project budget)
