Overview
Since 1968 Berkeley Repertory Theatre has grown from a small storefront theater into one of the country’s most outstanding regional theaters. Each year the organization reaches 190,000 people through its season of between seven and eleven plays, year-round school of theater, and center for the development of new plays. Renewed funding would support Berkeley Rep’s efforts to maintain its record level of subscribers, sustain its commitment to developing and commissioning new plays, and continue to make progress toward a $50 million campaign goal to support its operations and facility improvement plans.
