Berkeley Repertory Theatre is one of the country’s most outstanding regional theaters. Each year it reaches nearly 600,000 people through its 10 to 14 mainstage productions, year-round School of Theatre, and center for the development of new plays. Renewed funding will support Berkeley Rep’s efforts to sustain its commitment to developing and commissioning new plays, build classrooms for the School of Theatre, provide housing for its visiting artists and fellows, and hire a new artistic director.
