Overview
AXIS Dance Company is an acclaimed ensemble of performers with and without disabilities in a form called "physically integrated dance." AXIS’ creative team produces in-house and commissions outside choreographers and composers, presenting a season of work locally and touring nationally. Through various outreach programs, AXIS brings physically integrated dance to schools, community centers, and independent living centers to participants seeking to learn more about dance, disability, and collaboration. A renewal grant to AXIS will support marketing campaign efforts to increase public awareness, strengthen its artistic and operational resiliency, and produce a thirtieth anniversary season.
