Overview
The Aspen Global Change Institute (The Institute) plans, conducts, documents, and reports on various workshops it convenes with scientific leaders from around the world that work on global climate change issues. The Institute convenes two to five week-long sessions every year. These highly technical meetings generally focus on making a breakthrough on a given technological or scientific challenge associated with global warming. The Institute's tries to leverage existing work by working with top researchers fro m universities, government labs and the private sector. Its program seeks out participants that are leaders in their field and often operate at the interface of science and policy, and the Institute encourages its alumni to become ambassadors in the science/policy arena.

The Aspen Global Change Institute will convene a workshop and strategic follow-up outreach and communication on technologies and policies to decarbonize the industry sector. The workshop will identify policy frameworks and industry methods that can lead to substantial greenhouse gas reductions worldwide. Experts from the United States, Europe, and China will participate in the workshop.
