Overview
Since its founding 1981, Asian American Journalists Association has worked toward the visibility and inclusion of AAPI journalists in newsroom leadership, and toward equitable and accurate coverage of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and AAPI issues. This grant is one of several made to support organizations serving Asian and Pacific Islander communities, in the Bay Area and beyond, in response to the rise of violence against these communities in 2020 and 2021.
